The Garden Project - Day 1

As I mentioned in the previous post, we're currently busy working on our 'garden'. It's a very small garden, some may call it the back yard, but we insist on calling it the garden. Don't you think 'garden' gives you far more hope than 'back yard'?

Here is how it was before we got started:

 

We had two flower beds that have been here before we bought the house, and then lots of containers from last year when we tried to grow stuff in pots. 

On Sunday, Dave started to clear the area...

 

And in no time he emptied the first flower bed of all its soil...

 

We are keeping the soil for sure, but for now they will sit in the spare pots we have...

Can you tell what we are up to yet? I shall keep you posted each day we Dave works on the garden to see if you can guess.
